House prices in 2022 – which areas are predicted to rise the most?

 

This year was unexpectedly very busy for the housing market. Of course the big question is, will this frenetic activity continue in 2022?

RIGHTMOVE have come up with some answers and you can read their predictions here.

Basically Rightmove think asking prices will rise by around 5% nationally – which is about £17,000 on average.

 

They are predicting that the 4 most sought-after regions will be: Scotland, the South West,  the West Midlands and Yorkshire & Humber where average house price inflation of around 7% is anticipated.

London should see around 3% increases but suburbs will vary.
